C'est la vidéo du moment et qui se répand sur la toile, à la gauche de François Hollande, Jacques Chirac invite poliment une femme à s'asseoir à coté de lui puis commence à discuter avec elle pendant le discours de son épouse qui finit par l'attraper en flagrant délit de... "drague" !
Du moins c'est présenté de telle façon que cela a suffit à faire mousser la vidéo et en faire un véritable buzz sur internet. Yann Barthes et le Petit Journal de Canal+ ont encore frappé.

Bin Laden vs. Obama
In an audio recording, for the first time the al-Qaida leader Osama Bin Laden accuses the new United States leader Barrack Obama of having sowed 'revenge and hatred' in the Muslim world. The US president is now in Saudi Arabia, after having been welcomed at Riyadh's airport by King Abdullah after a flight directly from Washington, beginning a Middle East tour in his continuing effort to reach out to the Muslim world.
Is Osama bin Laden still alive ? That's the question, no doubt that he'll be still alive in a hundred of years thanks to the miracle of technology (well, more Youtube than medicine...) so no reason to be afraid of him but a new war of communication may have just started between the US government and what survived of al-Qaida.

Dans un enregistrement audio, pour la première fois le leader de l'organisation al-Qaida, Oussama Ben Laden, accuse le nouveau président des Etats-Unis d'Amérique Barrack Obama d'avoir jeté les graines de la revanche et de la haine dans le monde musulman. Barrack Obama se trouve aujourd'hui en Arabie Saoudite, après un vol direct de Washington et avoir été accueilli par le roi Abdullah, commençant ainsi une campagne pour aller vers le monde musulman.
Oussama Ben Laden est-il toujours vivant ? C'est la question, il le sera sans doute encore dans une centaine d'année grâce au miracle de la technologie (Youtube plus que la médecine), pas de véritable raison de s'en inquiéter mais une nouvelle guerre de la communication vient sans doute de commencer entre le gouvernement américain et ce qui reste d'al-Qaida.

A new tennis star is born, the swedish Robin Soderling beats the previous winner of the most prestigious tournament, Rafael Nadal, in an incredible match !
It was really hard to believe that this almost unknown player ranked 23 could be able to maintain a so high level of play against the number one after the first games that were just amazing. Not sure it is a good news so much for Roger Federer, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and the other players still in the tournament.

Une nouvelle star du tennis est née, le suédois Robin Soderling bat Rafael Nadal en huitèmes de finale du tournoi de Roland-Garros dans un match incroyable !
Il était difficile d'imaginer que l'état de grâce de Soderling (23ème joueur mondial) pouvait ainsi se prolonger contre le numéro 1 mondial après ce fantastique premier set. Pas si sûr au final que ce soit une bonne nouvelle pour Roger Federer, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga et les joueurs toujours en lice dans le tournoi.

Will Facebook remain free ?
Each year, some of the most successful websites lose million dollars, this is only possible because they are completely free of use while Facebook's team is now about 700 people and the cost of Youtube's bandwidth would reach 1 million dollars a day. No, everything is not free yet to make a website that can welcome several million users, in many cases you need an editorial team, recent servers, engineers, the web is constantly evolving, technologies are improving and it is a war to keep the number one place in every niche.
While the advertising networks cost per click continues to slowly decrease, it becomes harder and harder to make money on the internet by using classical advertisement services like Google Adsense/Adwords, moreover it is very hard to urge your users to click ads while you offer a quality or personal content, as an example the click rate on Facebook is known to be very low, below 1 per 1000.
As a logical consequence, a few viral rumors make the buzz by regularly invading forums all over the world, will Facebook remain free, will Youtube or Wikipedia close and what about the most famous email providers and instant messaging services like MSN, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail and so on ?

Microsoft offered astronomic amounts of money to try to buy Yahoo to try to rivalize with Google, but anyway Facebook is the new king with more than 150 million users with its incredible micro-blogging platform and could be sold for tens of million dollars, but what is the real value of a company that constantly loses money and does not find a real solution ?
Of course Facebook now could make a lot of money but it wouldn't be totally free anymore and another one would take the place. Many people successfully use Facebook in their work, build applications that can be used in Facebook, this is now a parallel economy like we saw it in "Second Life". Facebook is a great service, available in almost every language and yes, it is free... and losing money. Nowadays you may have to suicide your business to succeed, quite strange.

But it is often encouraging to read stories about guys who make thousand of dollars a week, everything seem easy then many players try to play for real money and like in every tournament, at the end there is only one winner, and sometimes the only winner is the "house". Times are hard, the stock market crisis hit the virtual casinos also and the temptation will be even more around money gaming, while taking account of the past errors. Is it still reasonable to play money in chancy games online, by the way if it was reasonable one day.

No big surprise (but the venue of Dany Boon) in the Césars 2009, Vincent Cassel as Mesrine and Yolande Moreau as Séraphine won the major prizes. Oscars, Césars 2009
After the Oscars ceremony, here are the Césars in France, that should see the victory of Mesrine with Vincent Cassel, and remind us the death this year of several well known celebrities like Claude Berri and Guillaume Depardieu. Dany Boon (actor, director, co-producer of "Bienvenue chez les ch'tis") shouldn't be at the ceremony as his film was only nominated once this year.
As a reminder Dany Boon would have earned in 2009 at least 26 million Euros after the success of his film seen by more than 20 million people in french theaters. At a first sight, this astronomic number may be compared to american film stars, but that's not so simple as Dany Boon was not only an actor in this great comedy.

A peine la cérémonie des Oscars terminée, la France se met à l'heure des Césars, qui devrait voir cette année la victoire entre autres de la grosse production française de l'année "Mesrine" avec Vincent Cassel, et nous rappeler au passage la disparition de célébrités come Claude Berri et Guillaume Depardieu. Dany Boon (acteur, réalisateur et co-producteur de "Bienvenue chez les ch'tis") ne devrait pas être présent à la cérémonie après que son film n'ait été nominé qu'une seule fois cette année.
La nouvelle est tombée cette semaine, Dany Boon aurait gagné plus de 26 millions d'euros en 2009 après le succès fulgurant de son film, vu par plus de 20 millions de français dans les salles. A première vue, ce chiffre astronomique pourrait être comparé sans difficultés aux salaires des plus grandes stars américaines mais ce n'est évidemment pas aussi simple étant donné la triple casquette de Dany Boon dans cette magnifique comédie.

A new Google PageRank export started. Many webmasters saw a fall of their website's PageRank and identify duplicate content and the connection between the number of outcoming links and the number of incoming links as the main cause. This should be a serious attack towards spammy sites and directories that simply copy text from other websites automatically. Maybe the Google directory (copy of Dmoz) will be penalized too.

De nombreux webmasters ont constaté une forte baisse du précieux indice de la petite barre verte, le rapport de liens sortant et entrant ainsi que le duplicate content pourraient en être responsable... Star Académie 2008 arrive dans 2 semaines à peine en France, plus précisément ce 19 septembre après un passage éclair de Laurence Boccolini sur TF1, l'avalanche de télé réalité continue donc sur la principale chaine de télévision française. Après les désormais classiques de l'été, Koh-Lanta, Secret Story et l'Ile de la Tentation, c'est le concurrent de la Nouvelle Star de la chaine qui monte M6 qui reprend du service après les victoires des (de plus en plus) discrets Quentin Mosimann, Cyril Cinélu et Magali Vaé. Star Academy démarre ainsi déjà sa 8ème saison, toujours sous la direction d'Endemol.
On annonce d'ores et déjà beaucoup de changements pour cette saison, à commencer par un adieu au désormais célèbre "chateau" de Dammarie-les-Lys, vendu et remplacé par un hotel particulier situé en plein Paris, 12 rue Charlot (3ème arrondissement) pour une surface de 1700 m² dont le loyer avoisinerait les 50.000 euros mensuels.
Parmi les grands changements, Alexia Laroche-Joubert aurait quitté Endemol, donc l'émission, et Raphaelle Ricci sa place de professeur. Entre autres rumeurs, on annonce Rihanna et Christophe Maé en tant que parrain et marraine de l'émission, Armande Altaï directrice ou encore que le précédent vainqueur (Quentin) ferait partie du jury. Un site de rumeurs annonce même un candidat de 60 ans, restons prudents donc. A suivre (ou pas).

Traffic from Google is an extremely valuable commodity and many webmasters will stop at nothing to secure top rankings for lucrative keywords. Google would like site owners to naturally link to other sites they find useful and relevant but some sites use methods discouraged by Google to artificially inflate the number of links pointing to the site in order to boost its positions.
This battle has been going on for years, with many sites continually inventing methods to improve their rankings for particular keywords and search engines repeatedly updating their algorithms to protect the quality of searches. A few years ago, oceanfinance.co.uk and moneyexpert.com had acquired millions of links to their site, enjoying long term success in manipulating Google’s results.
At this time moneyexpert.com no more sits atop of Google for highly rewarding keywords such as mortgages, loans and credit cards. But its number of backlinks according to Google link: function is still about 185,000
The Digital Point Coop network was launched in 2005 by Shawn Hogan from DP (Digital Point), it quickly expanded with thousands of sites.
In this network, advertisers create text or image ads that are placed across the thousands of sites in the network, publishers are given some php code that they embed on every page on their site. As the adverts are showed in rotation, the links may not appear more than once, but enough for search engines to see them.
Publishers are given "weight" that depends on how many pages the ads are displayed on and the PageRank of these pages. Thus, sites with strong PageRank and tens of thousands of indexed pages offer a huge amount of weight that the publisher can use to advertise any number of sites across the network.
The trick is that it is possible to run the adverts on a spam site, then use the weight to point links at a clean site to boost its rankings.
During 2006 it became obvious that hosting these adverts was a bad idea as some sites suffered ranking penalties because of the network and lost their PageRank. Also having several footer links to sites out of control is probably not a good way to build your brand.
People now buy high PageRank sites with thousands of pages just to gain more "weight" for their Coop networks or even rent "weight" to other people (probably like ZTMC).
Sites using DP coop network links to build rankings still dominate a lot of the most lucrative industries. Google started to crack down on link selling and other manipulative schemes, so the Coop (which follow the same idea than Text Link Ads or TNX) has been getting smaller, but the system still counts thousands of sites - some eventually cheat the system - and most probably a few making millions every year from this free network.

L'astuce est qu'il est possible d'afficher ces liens dans un site de spam et diriger le poids résultant vers des sites propres.
En 2006, il est devenu évident que publier ces liens était dangereux pour le classement d'un site, certains ayant subi de forts déclassements, voire perdu leur PageRank. Afficher des liens hors de contrôle est de toutes façons forcément dangereux.
Depuis, des webmasters achètent des sites ayant un fort PageRank et des milliers de pages pour acquérir du "poids" dans le réseau Coop, voire louent du poids à d'autres sites (probablement comme ZTMC).
Les sites utilisant le réseau DP coop pour construire leurs liens dominent encore beaucoup de secteurs lucratifs. Google a commencé à réduire l'impact de la vente des liens et de ces réseaux d'échange, et le réseau Coop (qui suit le même principe que Text Link Ads ou TNX) a perdu en taille, mais compte toujours des milliers de sites - dont certains étant parvenus à berner le système - et probablement quelques uns gagnant des millions chaque année grâce à ce réseau à la base gratuit.

Cannes Festival 2008
The 61st Cannes Film Festival (2008 May 14 to 25) will present films by Clint Eastwood & Steven Soderbergh in the main competition. The official selection was unveiled by festival president Gilles Jacob and delegate general Thierry Frémeaux.
Of the 20 directors competing for the 2008 Palme d’Or, eight (only) of them are making their official competition debut. Clint Eastwood will be represented by "Changeling", a mystery set in the 1920s in Los Angeles starring Angelina Jolie. Steven Soderbergh will present "Che", a four-hour film about the Argentine revolutionary Che Guevara.
Other films in the competition will come from Belgium, Turkey, France, Argentina, Brazil and Italy. Steven Spielberg’s "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" and Woody Allen’s "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" will be shown out of competition. The opening and closing films are yet to be announced.

La rumeur qui courait depuis quelques semaines a enfin été confirmée, le très attendu Indiana Jones 4 sera présenté en grande première au Festival de Cannes 2008 le 18 mai, quatre jours avant sa sortie mondiale (le 22 mai). Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford, Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett et George Lucas (qui produit le film) monteront les marches du Palais des festivals pour présenter hors compétition Indiana Jones et le royaume du crâne de cristal.
Cette projection spéciale du nouveau blockbuster de Spielberg sera sans nul doute l'événement de ce 61ème Festival de Cannes, qui se déroulera du 14 au 25 mai. Thierry Frémaux (délégué général) et Gilles Jacob (président) ont dévoilé une liste quasi-complète de la sélection mais manquent encore à l’affiche un film français (une chance de plus pour décrocher la première palme française depuis 1987 et "Sous le soleil de Satan" de Pialat) et les films d’ouverture et de clôture.
Parmi les 1792 films visionnés (contre 1615 en 2007), les sélectionneurs en ont retenu 19. Parmi eux, les frères Dardenne ("Le Silence de Lorna"), Arnaud Desplechin et un "Conte de Noël", Steven Soderbergh ("Che"), le nouveau Clint Eastwood ("Changeling"), le Turc Nuri Bilge Ceylan ("Trois singes"), le Canadien Atom Egoyan ("Adoration"), Jia Zhangke ("24 City"), Wim Wenders ("The Palermo Shooting"), la première fiction du scénariste Charlie Kaufman ("Synecdoche, New York"), la première apparition en compétition de Philippe Garrel ("La Frontière de l’aube") et l’opus israélien d'Ari Folman ("Waltz with Bashir"), "un film d’animation documentaire" dixit Thierry Frémeaux.
Hors compétition, le nouvel "Indiana Jones" sera présenté en exclusivité quelques jours avant sa sortie mondiale. Egalement le nouveau Woody Allen ("Vicky Cristina Barcelona"), avec Penélope Cruz et Scarlett Johansson qui sort au passage son premier album en France.
La curiosité de ce festival devrait être le documentaire du journaliste Daniel Leconte consacré aux démêlés de "Charlie Hebdo" et de ses caricaturistes avec les intégristes de tous bords, au titre prometteur "C’est dur d’être aimé par des cons".
Concernant le jury, on savait déjà que le Président du Jury de ce Festival de Cannes 2008 serait l'acteur-réalisateur américain Sean Penn. Il sera accompagné par le metteur en scène mexicain Alfonso Cuarón, l'américaine Natalie Portman, l'acteur-réalisateur italien Sergio Castellito, le cinéaste français d'origine algérienne Rachid Bouchareb, l'actrice allemande Alexandra Maria Lara et le metteur en scène thaïlandais Apichatpong Weerasethakul. Deux autres noms des membres du jury seront dévoilés plus tard.

Nicolas Sarkozy marries Carla Bruni
It was announced on radio by the mayor of the eighth district of Paris, Francois Lebel, who officiated at the wedding : Nicolas Sarkozy married italian ex-super-model becomed singer Carla Bruni. Star Academy in danger
It seems that TV series from the United States (ie. CSI : Crime Scene Investigation, NCIS, House M.D. and so on) are now a serious rival for reality shows, even the most famous one Star Academy seems to face problems in France these last weeks. NCIS (on M6) now regularly beats Star Academy (on TF1), also the incomings from discs and concerts significantly decreased, several dates for the concerts that will happen in a few months have been cancelled already. NCIS, Dr. House et ainsi de suite) soient maintenant devenues un rival sérieux pour les émissions de télé-réalité, même la plus célèbre d'entre elles, Star Academy, semble faire face à certaines inquiétudes en France depuis quelques semaines. Les audiences de NCIS (diffusé sur M6) battent régulièrement celles de Star Academy (diffusé sur TF1), les recettes provenant des ventes de disques sont catastrophiques et plusieurs dates de la tournée à venir ont déjà été annulées. Tom Cruise and Scientology
A video made in 2004 at a scientology ceremony honoring Tom Cruise for his humanitarian work and showing him promoting scientology created the buzz these last days. "I think it's a privilege to call yourself a Scientologist, and it's something you have to earn," Cruise says in the video, adding he's "driven... by the opportunity to really help, for the first time, change people's lives. I'm absolutely, uncompromisingly dedicated to that." .. The church calls pirated (and edited) the version that appeared on YouTube and that has been taken off since that time. The video's appearance comes as the Andrew Morton's book about the Hollywood star, the author of a controversial biography of Diana, Princess of Wales, alleges that the actor ranks second in command in the Church of Scientology. The church called Morton's book, Tom Cruise An Unauthorised Biography, "a bigoted, defamatory assault replete with lies" in a 15-page statement.

According to In Touch Weekly, a few days before her January 3 breakdown, Britney Spears left a suicide note on her bathroom counter that was allegedly found by friend Sam Lutfi. Britney's divorce, child custody battle and other problems appear to have taken a greater toll on her than most people expected. The note would Include reasons why she shouldn't live, extracts from poems about death and other things such as she was sorry for never making her life what everyone else wanted, how lonely and unfair life could be, how peaceful death seems... Well, all this could be to turn in a very bad way :/

The first recording of Cyril Cinélu, winner of the famous french reality show Star Academy last year, would have sold 1,650 copies only during its first week, even worst than the previous record by Magali Vaé. Ca alors, j'ai manqué ça... Noémie a été sortie de la Star ac', pourquoi suis-je donc surpris ? Un sondage (près de 18.000 votants) donne "Bien fait pour elle, c'est une peste" à près de 50%, et "C'est qui Noémie ?" à 40%, reste peu de place pour les commentaires positifs :)
A lire les news, l'ambiance semble être un peu morose au chateau, selon Raphie les élèves oublieraient de faire preuve de modestie. Et gros suspense, l'une semble faire mine de partir, puis non, puis peut-être... Bref, du grand reality show !
