Garry Kirmovich Kasparov (tiếng Nga: Га́рри Ки́мович Каспа́ров; phát âm như kas-PA-rov với trọng âm ở âm tiết thứ hai), sinh ngày 13 tháng 4 năm 1963, là một đại kiện tướng cờ vua và được ví là kì thủ mạnh nhất trong lịch sử. Hệ số ELO 2851 của Kasparov vào tháng 7 năm 1999 trong bảng xếp hạng của FIDE là điểm số cao nhất từng có cho tới hiện nay. Được xếp hạng cao nhất trong khoảng 20 năm từ năm 1985 đến năm 2005, Kasparov đã từng là nhà vô địch cờ vua thế giới không thể đánh bại từ 1985 đến 1993. Sau đó do có một số bất đồng với Liên đoàn cờ vua thế giới (FIDE) nên Kasparov quyết định thi đấu ngoài phạm vi tổ chức và xếp hạng của FIDE nhưng vẫn được công nhận là vô địch thế giới (bởi PCA và WCA) cho đến khi bị Vladimir Kramnik đánh bại vào năm 2000. Kasparov cũng đã 11 lần giành giải thưởng Chess Oscar trong những năm: 1982, 1983, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1995, 1996, 1999, 2001 và 2002. Kasparov tuyên bố ngừng thi đấu cờ vua chuyên nghiệp vào ngày 10 tháng 3 năm 2005.
