I am afraid I am missing your points in the comments after the game.
1. The engine of choice here seems to be Rybka more than Fritz (IMO).
2. In our game up to move 12, you can find two games in the database: Grischuck – Alexeev 2005 and another one. Your move 12. … Ba6 is also a good move IMO and perfectly playable for black. The other choices played were d5 and Re8. Now, if you use Fritz to analyze the position you will have the surprise that 13. b4 is not even considered as a good move. I am not sure if it was the best move, but it was “my move”.
3. I assume you knew the rules on FICGS so why did start playing here in the first place? Using a chess engine or playing against one is a matter of taste and personal choice. You can read more on the forum about the controversy: engines or no engines.
