Serait-ce le tout prochain film de Quentin Tarantino ? Rien n'est moins sûr, mais ce trailer vaut le détour, du film de genre comme on aime... ou pas.
Le titre est déjà cocasse par lui-même : "Run! Bitch Run!" .. mais alors la bande annonce est énorme et rappelle un peu le célèbre "Machete" vu dans "Planet Terror", avec ce même Quentin Tarantino.

David Carradine dies at 72
David Carradine was for most of us (at least those aged of 35 years and more) "Kung Fu". He also appeared in Kill Bill with Uma Thurman by Quentin Tarantino and in about 100 other movies. His death is quite a surprise today as he was not so old, he would probably have had a great and wise quote about his own death.

David Carradine était pour la plupart d'entre nous agés de plus de 35 ans l'acteur de la mythique série des années 70 "Kung Fu". Il a également joué dans le deuxième volet de Kill Bill de Quentin Tarantino avec Uma Thurman et dans une centaine d'autres films, environ 166 heures de programmes télévisuels au total. Sa mort est une surprise aujourd'hui alors qu'il n'était finalement agé que de 72 ans, on revoit encore le petit scarabée nous dire l'une de ses célèbres petites phrases remplies de sagesse, cette fois pour commenter sa propre mort.

Palme d'Or
And the Palme d'Or goes to... a french movie, "Entre les murs" directed by Laurent Cantet (Ressources humaines).
Robert De Niro, Catherine Deneuve, Dennis Hopper and many other stars were at the ending ceremony of this 61st Cannes festival 2008.
The palmes also went to "Il divo" de Paolo Sorrentino, "Changeling" de Clint Eastwood, "Three Monkeys" de Nuri Bilge Ceylan, "Che" de Steven Soderbergh.

Et la Palme d'Or revient à... un film français, "Entre les murs" de Laurent Cantet, transposition à l’écran du roman du même nom de François Bégaudeau. Laurent Cantet avait réalisé "Ressources humaines".
La palme d'or a été remise par Robert De Niro, accompagné pour la cérémonie de clôture de ce 61ème festival de Cannes 2008 entre autres de Catherine Deneuve, Dennis Hopper et bien d'autres.
Le jury présidé par Sean Penn a remis le palmarès (Palme d'or, Grand Prix, Prix du jury, Prix du meilleur scénario, Prix du meilleur acteur, de la meilleure actrice etc...) récompensant notamment "Entre les murs" de Laurent Cantet, "Il divo" de Paolo Sorrentino, "Changeling" de Clint Eastwood, "Trois singes" de Nuri Bilge Ceylan, "Che" de Steven Soderbergh.

18 566 923 spectators after 7 weeks, almost 1 million this last week (as much as past week), where it will stop... The movie from Dany Boon "Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis" is now in good place to reach the 20 000 000 barrier in France and maybe to beat the James Cameron's Titanic.

18 566 923 spectateurs après 7 semaines d'exploitation, presque 1 million cette dernière semaine (quasiment autant que la semaine d'avant), le box-office s'affole, où s'arrêteront-ils... Le film de Dany Boon "Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis" est maintenant en bonne place pour atteindre la barrière fatidique des 20 millions de spectateurs et ainsi couler le Titanic de James Cameron.
Suivent cette semaine, Disco (avec Frank Dubosc), le film d'animation Horton, L'ile de Nim, Les Randonneurs à St-Tropez (qui font un bien mauvais score avec un peu plus de 200 000 entrées en première semaine), Sexy Dance 2, The Eye, Mongol, 2 soeurs pour un roi, Il y a longtemps que je t'aime, Winx Club, Chasseurs de Dragons...

"Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis" may become the most seen movie in french theaters, ahead of "La Grande Vadrouille" or even "Titanic". This very funny film by Dany Boon still attract millions of spectators after 4 weeks.

Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis et son détonant tandem Dany Boon - Kad Merad est désormais en passe, avec plus de 15.300.000 spectateurs en 4 semaines (plus de 2 millions cette dernière semaine), de battre le record d'entrées dans les cinémas français de la Grande Vadrouille (et de son immortel duo de Funès - Bourvil) avec 17 millions d'entrées. Il peut même espérer flirter avec le record absolu détenu par le Titanic de James Cameron (Leonardo Di Caprio - Kate Winslet) avec 20 millions d'entrées. Le film de Dany Boon, qui met le nord de la France à l'honneur, est devenu un vrai phénomène, drôle, léger, émouvant, tout le monde semble y retourner avec plaisir. Let's hope this new rumour is just ridiculous and untrue : According to "Le nouvel observateur", Nicolas Sarkozy would have sent a strange SMS to Cécilia ex-Sarkozy about 8 days only before to marry Carla Bruni : "Si tu reviens, j'annule tout" (if you come back, I cancel everything).. It wouldn't be so surprising but anyway, no answer. The rings story, the same places where Nicolas Sarkozy & Carla Bruni went after Cécilia Sarkozy and Richard Attias - rumours say they could marry next month - no doubt that other rumours will go this way. Hate and love, obsessions.. One thing only is sure, a movie won't be enough to tell that story.

Ce ne serait pas si surprenant mais pas de réponse de toute manière, toujours selon cette même source. L'histoire des bagues, les endroits où Nicolas Sarkozy et Carla Bruni auraient suivi les traces de Cécilia Sarkozy et Richard Attias - les rumeurs vont dans le sens d'un mariage le mois prochain - d'autres rumeurs iront sans doute dans ce sens prochainement. Amours haine, passions et obsessions.. Une chose est certaine, un long-métrage ne suffira pas à raconter le mandat présidentiel de Nicolas Sarkozy.

Roman Polanski : Wanted and Desired
"Roman Polanski : Wanted and Desired", the nonfiction film by Marina Zenovich about Polanski's sex scandal with a 13-year-old girl that happened in the 70's, debuted this weekend at Sundance, the top U.S. film festival for independent movies, and obviously secured a worldwide distribution already. It seems to demonstrate the influence of the medias over the judge of the case. Roman Polanski directed ie. Rosemary's Baby (1968), Chinatown (1974), Academy Award-winning and Cannes Film Festival Palme d'Or-winning The Pianist (2002), Oliver Twist (2005).

"Roman Polanski : Wanted and Desired", le documentaire de Marina Zenovich sur le scandale tournant autour de la relation qu'aurait eu le réalisateur avec une jeune fille de 13 ans survenu dans les année 70, a fait son entrée au festival de Sundance, le plus célèbre festival américain de films indépendants conduit notamment par Robert Redford. Le film, semblant démontrer l'influence des médias sur le comportement troublant du juge de l'affaire mort depuis, se serait déjà assuré d'une distribution mondiale. Roman Polanski est le réalisateur entre autres de Rosemary's Baby (1968), Chinatown (1974), Le Pianiste, palme d'or au festival de Cannes (2002), Oliver Twist (2005).

Blu-ray vs. HD DVD
According to Adams Media Research, about 32 million DVD players were sold in the U.S. last year. Of those, about 4%, or 1.5 million, were hi-def optical disc players: 578,000 Blu-ray Disc players and 370,000 HD-DVD players. Blu-ray has taken a decisive lead over HD DVD, the main movie studios, such as Warner Bros, Walt Disney, 20th Century Fox & MGM joined Blu-ray. HD-DVD players have more options, such as onboard flash memory and Internet connectivity, they are cheaper than Blu-ray players but the game seems already over. Anyway, many advise to buy any of these players at the moment, tomorrow may be yesterday already.

Did you see the last motion picture from Martin Scorsese, "The departed" ? Well, not too bad, but if you saw "Infernal affairs", the original asian movie that I was lucky to see at the Deauville festival, the Scorsese's film looks a bit boring, we're far from Casino...

Qui a vu le dernier film de Martin Scorsese, "Les infiltrés" ? Bien, pas trop mauvais évidemment, mais si vous avez vu "Infernal affairs", le film asiatique original avec les triades chinoises en toile de fond, que j'ai eu la chance de voir au festival de Deauville, le film de Scorsese paraît tout à coup plutôt ennuyeux, en tout cas bien loin de Casino...

Cinema, what's up ?
Beowulf, The mist, American Gangster, Hitman, Enchanted, Bee Movie, Heroes, This Christmas, Rescue Dawn, August Rush... Yes, cinema (this "old man dying" as said Alain Delon) is not completely dead yet. At least there will always be money to recycle in the name of art. Will the 3-D cinema give a last breath to the "7ème art " ? .. Any recommendation ?

La légende de Beowulf, American Gangster, Bee Movie, Lions et Agneaux, Ce soir je dors chez toi, Les deux mondes, Saw IV, No country for old men, Darling, Le coeur des hommes 2, Nous les vivants... Oui, le cinéma (ce "vieux monsieur en train de mourir" comme disait Alain Delon) n'est pas encore complètement mort. Au moins il y aura toujours de l'argent à blanchir au nom de l'art. Le cinéma 3D donnera-t-il un dernier souffle au 7ème art ? ... Des avis sur les films à voir (ou plutôt à ne pas voir) ?

Hollywood sue Chinese internet site
Jeboo.com and an Internet cafe in Shanghai have been sued by five Hollywood studios (Twentieth Century Fox, Walt Disney, Paramount Pictures, Columbia Pictures and Universal Studios) for a $432,000 compensation. They would have offered Pirates of the Caribbean, X-Men 2, Night at the Museum and other well known recent movies to download for free. Good luck to them ! (Hollywood studios of course, they will need it :))

Jeboo.com, un site internet chinois est poursuivi par 5 grands studios d'Hollywood (Twentieth Century Fox, Walt Disney, Paramount Pictures, Columbia Pictures and Universal Studios) qui lui demandent 432.000 dollars de compensation. Le site aurait mis à disposition (en téléchargement gratuit) de ses internautes des blockbusters comme Pirates des Caraïbes, Une nuit au musée, X-Men 2 et d'autres films récents. Bonne chance à eux ! X-Files the movie 2
Twentieth Century Fox announced X-Files sequel will finally get out on July 25, 2008. Chris Carter, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are in again.
"All Chris says is that he wants to make a really scary horror, like a stand-alone episode", Gillian Anderson told Britain's Empire magazine last year regarding the upcoming movie. "I don't think they’re interested in touching on any of the conspiracy stuff."
As the show wrapped up in 2002 after a nine-year run, it left numerous fans disappointed while the story was left unfinished. Gillian Anderson said in the interview that the movie sequel’s function isn’t to appease the hardcore fans.

La Twentieth Century Fox a annoncé la sortie du sequel de la série X-Files pour le 25 juillet 2008. Chris Carter, David Duchovny et Gillian Anderson sont à nouveau de la partie.
"Tout ce que dit Chris, c'est qu'il veut faire un vrai film d'horreur, comme un épisode isolé", selon Gillian Anderson pour Britain's Empire magazine, à propos du film à venir. "Je ne pense pas qu'ils soient intéressés par tout ce qui touche à la conspiration."
La série s'était arrêtée en 2002 après 9 années de bons et loyaux services, laissant de nombreux fans désappointés par l'histoire inachevée. Gillian Anderson raconte dans l'interview que le sequel du film n'aurait pas pour fonction d'apaiser les fans accrocs.
