All things considered I am happy with this variation as White. Knowing in mind beforehand that 2.Nh3 was an offbeat, sharp, and quite sound line, helped me decide to switch to 1.d4 for the first time in my half-century of tournament chess! Comment by player 2 : Ilmars Cirulis : Yes, 2.Nh3 is good move. :) (Sorry, I missed this comment for such a long time.) Follow this game move after move (download)When asked, -How is that you pick better moves than your opponents?, I responded: I'm very glad you asked me that, because, as it happens, there is a very simple answer. I think up my own moves, and I make my opponent think up his. (Botvinnik) Nothing is more important for teaching us to understand the concepts we have than constructing fictitious ones. (Ludwig Wittgenstein)
