Arnold Schwarzenegger
Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger is an Austrian American bodybuilder, actor, businessman, model and politician, still serving in 2010 as the 38th Governor of the state of California.
Schwarzenegger was awarded the title of Mr. Universe at age 22, he won the Mr. Olympia contest a total of seven times and wrote several books and articles on the sport before to start a film career at Hollywood with films like Conan the Barbarian or The Terminator.
As a Republican, he was elected on October 7, 2003, in a special recall election to replace then-Governor Gray Davis, then re-elected on November 7, 2006 to serve a full term as governor of California, by beating Democrat Phil Angelides, California State Treasurer.
Schwarzenegger is married to Maria Shriver, they have four children.

Il fut surnommé le « Chêne Autrichien » (Austrian Oak) ou encore « Arnie », « Arnold » ou « Schwarzy » lorsque sa carrière d'acteur battait son plein, et enfin « Gouvernator » (savant mélange de gouverneur et Terminator). Il fut l'un des plus grands culturistes de l'Histoire, après avoir gagné notamment cinq titres de Monsieur Univers et sept titres de Monsieur Olympia, une carrière qui lui ouvrit les portes du cinéma à Hollywood avec des films comme Conan le Barbare, Terminator ou Predator. Il joua ensuite également des comédies comme True Lies, Jumeaux ou La Course au jouet.
Républicain, il a été élu 38ème gouverneur de l'État de Californie le 17 novembre 2003 et réélu le 7 novembre 2006. Il fait partie du Time 100 deux fois en 2004 puis 2007, un classement établi par le magazine Time des 100 personnes les plus influentes dans le monde. Il a annoncé son grand retour sur les écrans de cinéma le 18 février 2009 et qui devrait démarrer dans un film de Sylvester Stallone: The Expendables.
