Knol, diminutive for "Knowledge", is a new service tested by Google that could become a competitor for Wikipedia on various topics. Google, firstly a search engine, now wants to create content. Articles are said to become "the first thing someone who searches for this topic for the first time will want to read." (Quite clear)

Knol, diminutif de "Knowledge", est un nouveau service testé par Google qui pourrait devenir le concurrent direct de Wikipedia sur divers sujets. Google, au départ un moteur de recherche, veut maintenant créer et maitriser le contenu. Les articles sont censés devenir la première chose que toute personne voudrait lire après une première recherche sur n'importe quel sujet. Ca a le mérite d'être clair.
