Quite hard ... :)

1) Where was taken the last white piece ?

2) What was this piece ?

I think white's last move was g2-g4 and then f4xg3 e.p.

Thibault de Vassal    (2007-02-11 17:17:34)
Sure ?

Hmmm.. so what was the move before ? ;)

f5-f4+, but ok, I see what you mean ...

Yes, there's no White move before in this case. Really interesting...

Lehnhoff's solution looks like it works to me. Or it could be crazyhouse chess (where captured pieces can be placed back on the board)... :) Then black's last move could have been B@c8+

Kieran Child    (2007-02-11 19:12:05)
That was delicious

here's what I got: 1) f4xg3(ep) g2-g4 2) f5-f4 Kg3xNh3 3) g4xf3(ep) f2-f4 4) nf4xnh3 VERY VERY NICE PUZZLE. Thanks a lot for that :)

Thibault de Vassal    (2007-02-11 19:44:20)
Right !

That's right... and first move was Ng1-h3 !

Congrats to you all :)
