Back to problems Kieran Child (2007-01-06 20:57:55) A composition ChessPosition (see diagram) White to play and mate in 3. This is my first post :)
Daniel Khayman (2007-01-07 01:50:12) nice it took me a while but 1.Rfg6!! seems to do the trick..... if 1..., Qxg6 2.Qxf8+!, ....then 3.Rh8++; if 1..., Rxg5 2.Qxf8+!,... actually 2.Qxf8+! works with any black's move and then either Rh8++ or Nf6++. Kieran Child (2007-01-07 10:45:44) Well done Well done on solving it. It took me a while to get it right, and the rather unnaturalness of the position isn't very nice, but nevertheless, have a metaphorical lollipop :)
