Sven Väth
Sven Väth est un DJ parmi les plus célèbres au monde et producteur allemand reconnu de musique électronique.
Sven commence à mixer en 1982 au club Dorian Gray de Francfort, puis devient DJ résident au Vogue en 1984, il mixe essentiellement de l'Electronic Body Music (EBM) mais aussi de la musique américaine en provenance de Chicago. Sa carrière internationale commence en 1985, alors qu'il fonde le groupe «OFF» avec Michael Münzing et Luca Anzilotti (qui produiront ensuitent les morceaux du groupe Snap dont le premier maxi sera remixé par Sven). Parmi ses premiers titres, on retrouve: Bad News (1985), Electrica salsa (baba baba) (1986), Step by step (1987), Aber jetzt (1987), Everybody shake (1988), Time operator (1988), Hip hop reggae (1989) et La casa latina (1989). Sous le nom de OFF il sort les albums "Organisation For Fun" en 1987 et "Ask Yourself" en 1989.
Il rachète le Vogue en 1988, avec Michael Münzing et Matthias Martinsohn, les trois compères rebaptisent le club "Omen", alors que l'acid house est en pleine explosion. En 1989, Sven fonde le groupe Mosaic avec Matthias Hoffmann et Steffen Britzke, alors que débute l'ère de la trance allemande. Il fonde avec Matthias Hoffmann et Heinz Roth les labels Eye Q et Harthouse en 1991, qui produira une bonne partie des meilleures productions de trance allemande.
Iil collabore avec Ralf Hildenbeutel sur plusieurs morceaux comme Barbarella - My Name Is Barbarella ou Zyon - No Fate (1996), et sur son album "The Harlequin And The Ballet Dancer".
Il quitte Eye Q pour Virgin en 1998 où il produit son quatrième album, "Fusion", alors que le club Omen ferme ses portes et que son agence de booking, Cocoon, rencontre le succès. Il jouera dans la plupart des grands événements internationaux comme la Love Parade, ainsi qu'au club l'Amnesia d'Ibiza.
