ARC Raiders Skill Points: A Better Expedition 5 Pl (2026-08-26)
Expedition 5 is the last major departure window before the Expedition system is paused for its progression overhaul. Make Looting Part of the Build
For players who spend most of their final raids collecting resources, Looter’s Instincts is particularly useful. Faster container interactions mean you can search more locations during the same raid
Revitalizing Squat is another practical choice because it opens access to in-round crafting. Imagine reaching the final extraction area with low health and no reliable healing available. Being able to craft what you need during the raid can turn a nearly failed run into a successful extraction
Agile Croucher and Silent Scavenger can then help you move through dangerous areas more quietly. This is useful when your main goal is farming rather than fighting every player or ARC unit you encounter
Carry More Valuable Loot
Broad Shoulders is easy to overlook, but it becomes more useful during the final Expedition period. Five points can provide additional carrying capacity through augment slots
Consider a typical extraction where your backpack is already full halfway through the raid. You find another valuable weapon and several high-value components, but you have to leave some behind. A higher weight limit gives you more flexibility and can increase the value of what you successfully bring home
That matters because your final stash value can contribute to the catch-up system. In other words, carrying capacity is not only about convenience. It can support your permanent progression goals
Farm Bastions With a Repeatable Setup
Bastions are a useful target if you need XP and currency quickly. A successful run can provide roughly 20,000 to 30,000 XP and around 80,000 to 100,000 currency
A level 3 or 4 Pharaoh is a reasonable choice if you want to keep the cost of repeated attempts under control. Pair it with a high-rate-of-fire secondary weapon and around 10 to 15 Impact Grenades
Bluegate and Checkpoint are practical areas for Bastion farming. Before starting the fight, clear nearby ARC threats and find hard environmental cover. You do not want to spend several minutes fighting the Bastion only to lose the entire run because another threat catches you in the open
Use the Bastion's Weak Points
The basic strategy is to concentrate Impact Grenades on the Bastion's leg joints. Breaking a leg can create a stun opportunity, giving you time to move behind the machine and attack its rear battery with your faster-firing weapon
Continue breaking legs and damaging the battery until the core becomes exposed. Once that happens, focus your remaining damage on the core and finish the Bastion as efficiently as possible
Afterward, take a moment to loot everything. Destroyed ARC units and Raider corpses can provide additional interaction XP. Walking away immediately means leaving part of the encounter's value behind
Make the Last Weeks Count
If you still need specific equipment for your final challenges, ARC Items can help you spend less time searching for particular drops and more time completing the permanent objectives that actually survive the reset. The important thing is to use the remaining days deliberately instead of treating every raid like a normal progression session
Expedition 5 is unusual because the strongest rewards are not the things you can carry into the next cycle.
