Playstation Offers All-You-Can-Play Buffet   (2015-01-28)

The Sony Playstation is what you get when you put together technology and the Japanese. The result is a gaming console that is one step closer to being single-handedly responsible for the Nintendo’s demise. Now, do you know what you get when you put together live streaming and PS4-exclusivity? Well, according to the Japanese, that’s an all-you-can-play subscription.

Apart from the best computer games, it is no secret that Sony has been making some major progress in the gaming genre. One feature that comes to mind s the PlayStation Now game streaming service, which allows Playstation subscribers access to Sony’s servers and connects them with a whole network of gamers. But, the service was getting a bad rap for the limited number of hours it was offering, which was nowhere neat other game streaming services such as Humble Bundles or Steam.

Fortunately for us, all that is about to change since Sony has announced that it will be providing an all you can play user subscription service which will offer gamers unlimited access to the entire Playstation Now collection for just $15 dollars a month. The Playstation Now service is already in full swing in parts of North America where the service was rolled out on January 13. Users are now able to purchase a one month subscription for $20 and a three month subscription for $45. Sony has also announced that the new all you can play service will soon reach other regions as well.

There were many who were skeptical of the new Playstation Now service, especially of its cloud focused integration. And while live streaming games was not a new concept, the PS Now service has proven to be a pleasant surprise for many users. Another complaint that the users of the Now service was its cost and the limited games which were on the Playstation servers to choose from.

Since then, Sony has corrected many of these issues and has proved to its customers that they are committed to providing the best gaming experience possible along with the best computer games. Sony also has to work on its game library which currently houses only 100+ titles for the most recently launched Playstation 4. Compare that to the 700 plus games available on the library for the PS3 version and you can see the reason why many users of Sony’s gaming console are complaining.

Apart from that, the new Sony hacks didn’t do much good for the PS Now service. And while the new all-you-can-play subscription service for PS gamers is a step in a positive direction, selling a beta version of any platform is often times a hard sell. When it comes to live streaming and games, only time will tell how successful the service is.
