Where once Darien was prepared to lay down his life to defend the chapel, no, he was actually threatened to kill himself, however the Springer did not want to cooperate. I tried to determine why the blade was unwilling to cooperate with Darien as in the past it was not concerned with murdering innocents or the people who were armed with pleasures in its corrupted state.
They were more than willing to take on Alexandros milgrain and his period as a horseman and I conducted a little of research. Some speculate that it was due to the fact that they were fighting upon holy ground, but it is important to remember that they had displaced 1000 of the most holy and noble heroes of the past to prevent them from being turned into debt. It's possible this area had an effect upon the blade, similar to the way they were able to transform it from darkness into light by shooting light at It's a different possibility.
What is purely my speculation is there is a possibility that the spirit Alexandros milgrain was still residing within the blades, and the bear in his sacrifice is able to cleanse his father from the darkness. This doesn't mean that he has removed his spirits from the blade dough scenes after the fight during the battle at The Chapel we actually see the spiritual side of him as he talks to his son cheap WoW SoD Gold. Lich King. He appeared to have was absorbed by Alexandria soul in Frostmourne but I personally believe that his father was trying to stop Darien from committing these acts in the future.
