| The Torment mod would bring higher rewards (2023-03-18) Blizzard continued to tweak the game for more than a year afterward before launching Reaper of Souls D2R Items. A month had passed before Reaper was released, it happened on February 25. 2014. Blizzard deployed Patch 2. 0. 1. This was the biggest single update to the game yet, and made several of the modifications to the game that have made it more recognizable to today's players. Patch 2. 0. 1 made major quality-of-life improvements for everyone, regardless of whether they planned to get Diablo: Reaper of Souls. Paragon leveling was made available to all characters. The difficulty received a major overhaul in that monsters could now grow in proportion to your level. The difficulty levels were rearranged by adding new Hard, Normal Expert, Expert and Master along with various levels of Torment. The Torment mod would bring higher rewards and was designed to allow endgame players to keep honing their skills, and to find better loot. The patch also changed and simplified the crafting system as well as introduced a limited-time reward for experience, dubbed Pools of Reflection. The primary focus of the improvements that was promised were Loot 2. 0. While the loot grinding in the original release flooded players with an abundance of junk loot items, post-patch players noticed them receiving much less loot, and what they did receive was much higher quality. Loot will have more bonuses and properties that are unique, and these properties will be tailored to the player's unique build. Legendary items would provide skills modifiers, or other game-changing properties more often. With a solider base, Reaper of Souls was ready to reintroduce lapsed players as well as entice new players who might have missed the initial game, and increase the player base by welcoming gamers from consoles as the first-time. Not only was the expansion built on a greatly improved player experience, it added even more content to an already rich game buy D2R ladder items. It added a new defensive class, the Crusader with a fifth story Act. | Become a fan |
