It is now going furtherby placing one of its main representatives on the cover.

Also, the spectators for games are among the largest in the history of basketball, and partnerships like Google and Amazon Prime make women's basketball increase in popularity in the U.S.
The WNBA's Candace Parker first woman on NBA2K cover. 2K Sports reveals that Chicago Sky player Candace Parker is on one of the covers of NBA 2K22, becoming the first female and first WNBA player ever to appear on a cover of NBA 2K. GameStop is the only one to have the cover. This is to mark the 25th anniversary of the WNBA. Yesterday was the first day to announce the release. The cover also features Luka Don'i?, Kareem Abdel-Jabbar and Dirk Nowitzki. Kevin Durant is also on the cover.
Parker posted on Twitter she Parker is "extremely happy to be the first female cover athlete" in the history of @NBA2K. "I'm proud to be a part of an organization that believes in women and is committed to our accomplishments buy mt nba 2k22. I'm hoping that many more awesome women will follow."
