The midst of chaotic battles with the ARC Raiders (2026-04-23)
Arc Raiders has a surprisingly touching story underneath all of the fun shooting and looting. At some point, Celeste will request that you visit a location and pay respects to a fallen soldier by placing a helmet on a memorial pole as part of the Keeping the Memory quest. For this sad but easy quest, you'll need to visit the Wreckage on the Dam Battlegrounds map and complete the quick task. If you're having some trouble finding the helmet, though, we've got you covered.
Note that you won't need to extract anything to complete this quest, so you can load in with a free loadout to reduce any concerns about losing your precious resources. When you're ready to set out, read on for where to find the helmet for Keeping the Memory.
To find the helmet, you'll need to head to the Wreckage on the southern portion of the Dam Battlegrounds map. This can sometimes be a fairly high-traffic area since it's also a good spot to farm mushrooms, so be on the lookout for other raiders while questing here.
When you arrive at the Wreckage, head to the bottom of the POI and look for a large, destroyed Baron machine collapsed in this area. There's a small plant just outside of this dilapidated machine that is hiding the helmet. It's very easily overlooked, but once you know it's there, you simply need to interact with this spot and grab the helmet.
Once you pick up the helmet, you'll need to place it on a nearby pole sticking out of the ground. A blue holographic helmet prompt will appear over the pole when you approach, indicating that it's the correct place to put it. Interact with this prompt to place the helmet and finish the quest.
Now that you've finished up the quest, you can extract and head back to Speranza. The Red Lakes Balcony Lift to the northeast is a good bet, but be careful on approach due to the tendency for ARC to patrol the area quite aggressively. It's also a popular spot for other players to congregate, so don't be shocked if you encounter some resistance.
