Bombardier and various other ARC that patrol (2026-05-30)
Most quests in Arc Raiders send you to complete a couple of tasks on any given map, but a few quests require you to traverse long distances to clear multiple requirements. Perhaps the most substantial of these is A First Foothold, which asks you to visit four locations across Blue Gate. Each of these is on a completely different side of the map (north, east, south, west). It's a lengthy quest that may prove dangerous, but we're here to help you figure it out.
Luckily, you won't need to visit all of these locations in a single raid, meaning you can always knock out the tasks across multiple visits if you prefer. You also don't need to extract for any of them to count, so feel free to handle this with a free loadout that you don't mind losing if things get hairy.
The Ridgeline is located on the eastern portion of Blue Gate. This area is far removed from much of the mayhem that happens in the center of the map, making it one of the safer sections you'll visit during this quest. The observation deck is found along the very outer rim of the map. Interact with one of the prompts here to stabilize the structure. Afterward, you can be on your way to your next objective.
The Olive Grove is located in the southern portion of Blue Gate. This area can get pretty active, as it's a popular farming area for olives, as its name suggests. Be careful and perhaps try to be friendly to any nearby raiders. You can find the comms terminal on a platform in the western section of this POI. Interact with the computer here to complete the objective, then head off to the next spot.
The Trapper's Glade is located in the western portion of Blue Gate. This area is fairly unsafe due to the Bombardier and various other ARC that patrol through here. Be very careful sneaking around if necessary as you approach. You can find the Raider structure among plenty of trees here, just below the word "Trapper's" on the map. Crawl on top of the structure and interact with the roof to nail down the plates, then take off toward your next objective.
The church roof is located in the northern portion of Blue Gate. Due to its location far up in the hills away from much of the chaos down below, you should find things are pretty quiet. At most, you could run into a fellow raider or two doing the quest, so maybe wave and be friendly if needed. You'll need to crawl on top of a church here using the scaffolding along the sides. At the top, interact with the satellite to complete the task. If necessary, head off to any remaining objectives. Otherwise, you'll be done with A First Foothold.

Players will have to rally the remaining forces of humanity, forge alliances with other factions, and seek out powerful artifacts and weapons that can counter the Ancients' wrath. This struggle presents a unique challenge, as you fight not only against Hell's forces but also against an unstoppable tide of ancient power.
The return of the Ancients has far-reaching consequences for Sanctuary. As their influence spreads, entire regions of the world are altered. Areas once filled with lush forests or thriving civilizations are now scorched and abandoned. Ancient ruins, hidden tombs, and sacred sites begin to stir, revealing secrets from the past and unlocking new quests, challenges, and storylines for players to uncover.
