How to Unlock Bonded Modifiers in Path of Exile 2
To unlock Bonded modifiers, you must be playing a Druid with Path of Exile 2 Currency the Shaman Ascendancy and allocate points into the Ascendancy passive "Wisdom of the Maji."
Once unlocked:
Bonded modifiers become active immediately
Any equipped Rune or Idol with a Bonded effect will apply its bonus automatically
No additional activation or resource cost is required
If you already have Bonded-enabled items equipped when you take Wisdom of the Maji, their effects will turn on instantly.
Are Bonded Modifiers Necessary?
Strictly speaking, Bonded modifiers are not required to create a high-damage or viable endgame build in Path of Exile 2. Many powerful builds function perfectly well without them.
However, many Shaman Ascendancy builds are designed with Bonded modifiers in mind. The bonuses often provide:
Hard-to-find utility stats
Reservation Efficiency that frees up skill slots
Shapeshifting or minion synergies
