It's not known if the name of McCree (2023-01-02)
"We can confirm Luis Barriga, Jesse McCree and Jonathan LeCraft are D2R Items no longer at Blizzard," an Activision Blizzard spokesperson told. "We have a strong and talented team of developers already in place and we have new leaders named as necessary. We're confident about our ability to move forward in delivering amazing experiences to our users, and to move forward to ensure a safe efficient and productive work environment for everyone."
Jesse McCree is of particular importance, since he was among the present and former developers featured in the now famous "Cosby Suite" image that made the circulation in late July. Jonathan LeCraft also appears in this photo, as does Blizzard chief game designer Cory Stockton. Based on Kotaku, Stockton was placed on leave earlier in the month, but is still at Blizzard.
It's not known if the name of McCree has been removed from Diablo, although Blizzard's World of Warcraft team recently pledged to eliminate "not appropriate" references from the game.
A few days ago, Activision Blizzard said employees regardless of position or tenure will be "held accountable" in the wake of the lawsuit. It added that "decisive action" will be taken against those employees who compromise the integrity of the business.
