MMOexp Dark And Darker: The circle will detonate (2024-01-15)
In addition to its attacks, the Lich also has two major mechanics to watch out for buy Dark And Darker Gold. The first is the Curse of Gathering. This mechanic spawns a bright purple circle underneath the target player. The circle will detonate 5 seconds after cast and deals damage based on the number of players and monsters inside. If you’re alone, the circle will deal 650 Magic Damage, but the damage decreases as more players and monsters enter the circle. This means that if you’re playing with a group, you’ll need to coordinate to avoid getting caught in the blast.
The second mechanic is the Curse of Isolation. This mechanic spawns a bright blue circle underneath the target player. The circle will detonate 5 seconds after cast and deals damage based on the number of players and monsters inside. This time, the damage increases as more players and monsters enter the circle. If you’re alone, the circle will deal 35 Magic Damage, but the damage quickly ramps up if you’re playing with others. Be prepared to move quickly to avoid getting caught in this blast.
If you’re feeling extra brave and want an even greater challenge, you can take on the Elite Lich in the High Roller variant of the boss fight. This version of the Lich deals 50% increased damage, and all of its skeletons receive a buff called Frenzy that increases their Dark And Darker Gold movement speed, attack speed, and damage.
