Back to forum Thibault de Vassal (2008-03-15 12:43:07) Unfought draws & rating calculation An interesting article at Chessbase.com on unfought draws (mathematical, logical and practical considerations), also called "grandmaster draw" in the article, and ways to avoid it, by mathematician and logician Kung-Ming Tiong, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp?newsid=4513 I notice that the main solution proposed just looks like FICGS rules for advanced chess (Performance +/- delta according to the color) :-D .. Anyway I still have to take some time to make this part of the server more attractive. This thread may be a good place to ask for a feedback about FICGS current rating rules (for both chess & Go), what do you think ? :) More discussions about Unfought draws & rating calculation.
